Research on structural type and load effects of large span aqueduct-bridge co-built structure

Abstract: In order to take full advantages of infrastructure, aqueduct-bridge co-built structure was pro⁃
posed and its load action was analyzed. The weight of water and live load of the traffic were involved in
the structural analysis in the span range of 100 ~ 300 m. Prestressed concrete rigid frame bridge,deck arch
bridge and cable-stayed bridge were studied as aqueduct-bridge co-built structures respectively. It is found
that: the dead weight of prestressed concrete rigid frame aqueduct-bridge co-built structure is the govern⁃
ing factor of bending moment of the superstructure;when the relative stiffness between the main piers var⁃
ies too much,the temperature action dominates the pier’ design;in terms of deck arch,the combination

of water’ weight and live load is larger than the structure’ dead weight in the foot of arch;with regard
s
s
to the pipe cable-stayed bridge, steel truss provides the traffic deck in the upper plane of truss and the
pipe deck in the bottom plane; both the water transportation and traffic functions are realized due to the
large stiffness of truss.
