| An investigation study on the development trend of hydrology and water resources was carried out by means of surveying related academic journals, proceedings, books and reports published in recent years. The study shows that the impacts of global climate change and strong human act ivities have become confronting new issues, and a number of new hot study topics have occurred in the field of hydrology and water resources, which have made comparatively great progresses by applying new theories and modern techniques. The mult i??discipline crossing and collaborating is becoming an important feature of hydrology and water resources evolution. Based on this review, the authors suggest that scient ific experiments should be enhanced and subjects of crossing and merging should be intensified for the purpose of promoting a continuously innovat ion and progress in the field of hydrology and water resources in China. |
